NBA Game Picks & Analysis
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors
Warriors Host Grizzlies Short-Handed
Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET
Our Pick: Warriors -3
Golden State seeks its first back-to-back wins in over a month, taking on Memphis without Stephen Curry (knee). However, the Grizzlies are missing Ja Morant (shoulder) and a host of other key players, weakening their rotation.
While Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) is expected to play, Gary Payton II and Brandin Podziemski remain out for the Warriors. On the Grizzlies side, Desmond Bane (ankle) is questionable, Luke Kennard (hamstring) is doubtful, and Marcus Smart (finger) won’t suit up.
Despite missing Curry, Golden State’s home-court advantage and relatively healthier roster give them the edge. Look for the Warriors to cover the -3 spread.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Hawks (18-16) at Clippers (19-15)
Saturday, 10:30 p.m. ET
Our Pick: Clippers -7.5
James Harden (21.9 ppg, 7.8 apg) leads the Clippers at home (11-6) against Trae Young (22.3 ppg, 12 apg) and the Hawks. Despite Atlanta’s dynamic offense and second-place Eastern Conference ranking in fast-break points (17.8 ppg), Los Angeles boasts a solid transition game themselves (15.6 ppg), sparked by Norman Powell (4.6 fast-break points).
With a strong home-court advantage and a balanced attack on both ends, expect L.A. to contain the Hawks’ uptempo style and cover the -7.5 spread.
