The Suns and Clippers run it back tonight in Inglewood in a quick rematch, this time at the Intuit Dome (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). 

Why Los Angeles is positioned to cover -3.5:

1) Health/availability swings favor LAC. The NBA’s official 3:30 p.m. ET injury report lists Kawhi Leonard OUT (right ankle). Phoenix has Dillon Brooks QUESTIONABLE (core) and Mark Williams QUESTIONABLE (illness). James Harden is not listed, aligning with day-of reports that he’s back from personal reasons. Those statuses collectively tilt ball-handling and interior size toward LA if Williams is limited. 

2) Revenge spot with home-court. These teams met Thursday in Phoenix; the Suns hit 19 threes and won 115–102. Ivica Zubac still produced 23 points and 11 boards—a matchup edge that grows if Williams can’t go his usual minutes. Now the venue flips to LA. 

3) Early-season profiles point to a path for the Clippers. Phoenix has scored more but also allowed more per game (PHX 116.7 PPG, 118.2 allowed; LAC 110.5 PPG, 115.1 allowed). That leaves a narrower defensive gap than Thursday’s outcome suggests and keeps this within a two-possession script at home. 

4) Suns have struggled away from home. Phoenix enters 0–4 on the road so far, and this is their first away game since that hot shooting night. That travel/road form context supports a Clippers bounce-back. 

5) Market context favors a number like -3.5. Books broadly have Los Angeles favored in the 4–5-point range today; laying -3.5 (your number) is below or at the low end of that band. 

Bottom line: With Harden’s playmaking back in the fold, Leonard’s absence already priced in, potential uncertainty at Phoenix’s center spot, and the Suns’ 0–4 road mark, the Clippers’ interior (Zubac) plus home-court should be enough to flip the script from Thursday and land a two-possession win. That’s a reasonable case for LAC -3.5 in the rematch.
