Milwaukee Brewers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Brewers vs. Dodgers – Preview
Friday, 8:38pm ET • Dodger Stadium
Our Pick: Dodgers Moneyline
The Dodgers enter Game 4 tonight with a commanding 3–0 NLCS lead after Thursday’s 3–1 win, and they’ll hand the ball to Shohei Ohtani to try to finish the sweep at Dodger Stadium (8:38 p.m. ET on TBS/truTV/HBO Max).
On the mound, it’s projected to be Ohtani vs. veteran lefty José Quintana. The Dodgers list Ohtani as their Game 4 starter (1–0, 4.50 ERA this postseason, 9 K), while Milwaukee is turning to Quintana, who went 11–7 with a 3.96 ERA over 131.2 IP in 2025 and has worked three scoreless postseason innings so far. Ohtani will pitch on 12 days’ rest and already owns a Division Series win; that extra recovery plus his elite stuff gives Los Angeles a tangible edge in a close, low-scoring series.
Pitching has defined this matchup, and it favors L.A. The Dodgers have ridden dominant starts from Blake Snell (8 scoreless, 10 K) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (CG 3-hitter) and a strong Glasnow outing in Game 3 to suffocate Milwaukee’s offense. The Brewers have managed exactly one run in each game and only 10 total hits through the first three contests, underscoring how thin their margin is against another premium arm tonight.
Home/road context also tilts toward the Dodgers. L.A. finished 52–29 at Dodger Stadium in the regular season; Milwaukee was very good away from home at 45–36, but that’s still a slight situational advantage for the hosts. Even when Los Angeles’ bats have been quiet, timely knocks from Tommy Edman, Mookie Betts and company have been enough thanks to stingy relief work (3⅓ scoreless from the bullpen to close out Game 3).
Health is another subplot. Brewers rookie Jackson Chourio exited Game 3 with a leg cramp and says he expects to play, but even at full go Milwaukee needs traffic and lift to crack this L.A. staff, something they haven’t done yet in the series.
Add it up: an elite starter on extra rest, a staff that’s controlled contact all week, and a strong home profile. The Brewers’ bullpen blueprint can keep them close, but the Dodgers are in the best position to win outright and cover the moneyline in Game 4 given how decisively run prevention has swung this series.
